The Lockdown Lowdown

It's been a while since we've posted, but we have been very busy so far this lockdown - where has the time gone?!

Our day services are up and running online, which means that rehearsals for our upcoming show Peter the Wild Boy are back in full swing! The Storytelling Company are preparing for a month of broadcasting in May, and their full show in July this year. Keep your ear to the ground for updates on this - we are so excited!

Our Get Connected and Wellbeing sessions are also taking place online on Tuesday mornings. This is a lovely chance to take part in some yoga and relaxation, run by professional yoga teacher Becky, as well as to catch up with friends and do other creative activities. This session is free to join in with online, so do get in touch if you or someone you know would like to give it a try.

We are also so pleased to be able to offer 1:1 walks during this time. Online working is good in many ways, but some of our members struggle to access online workshops, for various different reasons. So being able to do a good old in-person (of course socially distanced!) meet up is a real lifeline!

Our weekly members' newsletter has also been helping to keep people connected. We have been hosting a weekly drawing challenge as well as sharing news, recipes, online opportunities and more.

We are so looking forward to the day that we can get together again at our hub, but at least for now we have lots of creative things going on, and even some new projects in the pipeline too!

Get in touch with us on info@openstorytellers.org.uk or call 07707 056 398 (Tues/Thurs).
